(This is NOT a Secular Society event but may be of interest.) 

Are you worried about the Far Right in Leicester, or wherever you live? Are you disturbed by the St George’s England flag flying everywhere over the last year? Cheering on England footballers is one thing, but is it troubling for you how it is being used politically or in a racist way? Do you perhaps find it personally intimidating?

Above all, are you trying to make sense about what is really going on?

Then you are warmly invited to a discussion/seminar/conference:

We anticipate a very good discussion helped by thoughtful panellists:

• Natasha Boyce – doing a PhD on Black girls experience in secondary schools
• Zain Hafeez – Citizens UK Leicester community organiser on migrant/refugee justice
• Richard Johnson – former professor of history/culture, University of Nottingham Trent
• Sharmen Raman – Leicester South Green Party parliamentary candidate and national spokesperson for Equalities and Diversity

We will conclude with practical things we can do personally. We will be helped by the support of each other.
